Toddler Time

Saturday’s, Year Round* ( 10:00am - 12:00pm )
$5 drop-in fee (per child) ; ages 0 - 100

Toddler Time is a two hour open studio time for young children! This program provides art experiences with opportunities for exploration and play, encouraging socialization. Our youngest artists will explore age-appropriate art materials in a safe, fun environment. Every Saturday, we celebrate each of our young artists. Then, we clean up the mess! Toddlers have access to books, blocks and much more! Siblings, young and old, are always welcome. All children must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver; please note this is not a drop-off program.

FEed Your Imagination

(Formerly known as Parents Night Out)

Feed Your Imagination (FYI) (formerly known as Parents Night Out) is new and improved for 2019! This monthly 2.5 hour evening program provides social-based art making and creative play for children ages 5-12. On the first Friday our young artists will come together to participate in creative thinking games, learn about professional artists, explore art materials, practice techniques, and develop skills. We’ll eat pizza + make art = Parents have a night out!

Preschool ARTventure!

Wednesday’s ( 10:00am - 11:-00am )
$45 (full session) / $10 (drop-in) ; ages 2 - 5

This one hour, weekday program provides a preschool-like classroom with access to books & blocks, manipulatives & sensory tools, dramatic play toys - and of course - ART. Facilitated by our experienced teaching artist, parents, adults, and/or caregivers participate and support the play and art-making of their young artist(s).
This program is designed to promote language and early literacy development through carefully selected read-a-louds, which correspond with a new art project each week. Art-explorations offer a variety of materials, and are always open ended!
All children must be accompanied by an adult; please note this is not a drop-off program.

Session 1 (5 classes): Jan 9, 16, 23, 30 & Feb 6
Session 2 (5 classes): Feb 13, 20, 27 & Mar 6, 13

SChools’ Out, We’re In!

Varying Dates ( varying times )
$65-85 (per day) ages 5 - 12

An enriching and creative solution to school-calendar closure dates: Schools’ Out, We’re In (SOWI's) are day camps for school-aged children, ages 5-12 in grades K-6.
Each day includes a themed day of art activities, outdoor play, lunch and snack time, as well as free-choice games. During this out of school time, students will participate in a sequenced set of activities that focus on planned art experiences. All students have the opportunity to explore materials, learn about artists and practice techniques and skills.
Parents provide lunch and snacks.
Single day registrations available.

Medium Specific Programs

Ceramics:

Hand-building for kids

Saturday’s ( 1pm - 2:30pm )
$125 (per session) ; ages 7 - 12

This hour and a half class is for beginners and introduces children to the amazing world of clay!
Each student will be guided through essential skills and techniques. With our experienced teaching artist, children will explore pinch pots, coil pots, slab rolled, staining techniques, etc.
All materials are provided.

Wheel Throwing for Teens

Saturday’s ( 3pm - 5pm )
$145 (per session) ; ages 12 - 17

This small format class provides students the opportunity to learn basic wheel throwing skills and glazing techniques, while working independently in a supportive environment.
Students will be encouraged to explore their own ideas, while learning the vast potentials of clay.  
All materials are provided.

PAINTING:

Acrylic Painting for kids

Saturday’s ( 10:30am - 12pm )
$75 (per session) ; ages 9 - 13

This hour and a half beginner acrylic painting class will cover basic concepts such as the color wheel and gradation, to specific techniques and texture exploration. Guided by our experienced teaching artist, students are encouraged to develop their own ideas as they explore working with this medium. All materials are provided.

3 Class Session: Feb 9, 16, 23

Drawing:

Drawing for kids - All Abilities

Saturday’s ( 1:00pm - 2:00pm )
$120 (per session) ; ages 9 - 13

This hour long, mixed-ability drawing class will explore concepts of line, space, scale, proportion, value and composition. Students will learn how to see like an artist, and gain confidence expressing themselves on paper. Drawing subjects may include still life, buildings, figures, interior spaces, and objects chosen by the student. Students may explore charcoal, chalk pastels and oil pastels.
All materials provided.

Special Programs

Portfolio Review Workshop

Wednesdays, December 12 ( 10:00am - 11:-00am )
$15 (per student) ; grades 6th - 8th

This workshop is geared towards students in 6th - 8th grades that are applying to visual arts programs.

Our art educators will provide feedback about art work, discuss portfolio requirements and be available to answer questions.

Students should bring art works that are in-progress including: drawings, paintings, sketchbooks and sculptures. Parents are encouraged to stay during this workshop!
