How do I get Art Works Now EIN?

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes, Art Works offers financial assistance for all of our programs. To apply for assistance simply click here to complete the scholarship application or contact Art Works directly at

Do you offer a multi-child/sibling discount?

Art Works is committed to making art affordable and accessible for all families. We do not specifically offer multi-child discounts. However, we do offer financial assistance through scholarships that we evaluate on a case by case basis. Please click here to apply for a scholarship.

Do you allow 4 year olds in your School's Out Program, or Camps?

Not at this time, our curriculum is specifically designed for children ages 5 through 12. However, we allow 4 year olds in our Parents' Night Out Program. 

What is your refund policy?

To cancel your child’s registration to a Summer Camp please e-mail or call 301-454-0808.

School's Out...We're In and Kids Programs:
Full Refund - A full refund will be give if cancellations are made 7 days prior to the start of a program.
No Refund - No refund will be given if cancellations are made 6 or less days prior to the start of a program.

Spring/Summer/Winter Camp:
Full Refund - For a full refund cancellations must be made 30 days before the start of camp.
Half Refund - 50% refunds will be given if you notify Art Works 2 weeks before the start of camp.
No Refund - No refunds will be given after the start of camp.

Do you offer before and aftercare?

During School's Out...We're In Programs and Spring/Summer/Winter Camps kids can be dropped off between 8:00am - 9:00am. We offer aftercare from 3:00pm - 6:00pm for an additional $20 per child.

Where can I park?

You can park using street parking on either side of Rhode Island Ave or on the two side streets (37th Street, and 37th Place) adjacent to our building.

Can I try a class?

Yes. We welcome potential new students to attend a class free at anytime during class sessions. Please contact Art Works directly to make arrangement for a trial class at

Can I register mid-way through a session?

Yes, with the exclusion of Summer Camps. A primary goal of ours is to offer flexibility in our heavily scheduled lives. If you would like to register for a class midway through a session please contact Art Works to discuss a pro-rated tuition fee at

Are make-up classes available?

A make-up class will be offered for any classes that are cancelled by Art Works (due to inclement weather or instructor’s absence). Make-up classes are not offered due to student’s absence.

What are the qualifications of Art Works’ instructors?

All of Art Works staff work closely together to ensure the best possible curriculum and instruction for our students. Our teachers are qualified based on their academic education, life education, interest and knowledge of art, and inter-personal skills working with children and adults.

Do I need to stay with my child(ren) during class time?

Toddler Time does require parental or guardian supervision. All other programs and camps do not require parental supervision. However, parents are welcome to wait in the gallery during class time.

Do you sell art supplies?

No, we do not sell art supplies.

Are community service hours available for my child at Art Works?

Yes, please click here and fill out our volunteer form. Please remember to bring your community service form with you to be filled out by an Art Works Now staff member. 

What are your office hours?

Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00-5:00pm.

What are your gallery hours?

Gallery hoursare 10:00am-5:00pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday; 10:00am-9:00pm on Tuesday and Thursday; and 10:00am-2:00pm on Saturday. If you'd like to schedule a gallery viewing, contact us at or call (301) 454-0808.

Do you accept applications to exhibit in the gallery?
