Learn how to create photo transfers onto plaster from Local Artist Alma Selimovic!

As a native of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Alma was raised in Sarajevo where she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts. Her work in LGBTQ activism there proved to be quite dangerous and in 2009 Alma sought and received political asylum in the United States. Alma later enrolled at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia in 2013 where she received a Masters of Fine Arts in 2015. Alma is currently an artist at the Otis Street Arts Project. She is a tremendous artist and teaches in many of our programs.

** This program has a minimum enrollment of 5 in order to run. If the minimum enrollment is not filled the program will be cancelled, and Art Works Now will directly notify you at least 24 hours in advance.**

Class will start with printing participants photos. While photos are printing Alma will explain the importance of printer type, ink and sheets that are used for transfers. Every person will have their own station covered in plastic where they will mix plaster and do their work. During this class we will cut fiberglass, mix plaster and transfer photos. In 2.5 hours participants will go home with finished work.
