During this day of Spring Break, we will explore the following theme:

The Art of Complaining
What’s the difference between complaining, whining, discussing, asking, or protesting? Which one works best and when? Kids will study the work of an activist group The Guerrilla Girls, who point out inequality in the art world using humor and who assert that “most art is complaining about something.” The group will spend the day creating a “Wall of Complaints” of things they don’t like, disagree with, are concerned about, or would otherwise like to change about the world. Kids will also design an interactive art tool as a method of communicating with those in authority.
